This passed weekend was amazing. No bones about it. The con was terrific. I made some genuine friends and contacts and got some great advice. The weekend itself was terrific. My brother and sister-in-law were fantastic hosts. I swear to you folks, this was a weekend from heaven. I’d go more into it now, but I’m dog tired. I’ll tell you more later.

SKETCH ONE
Let it be known that Brad Guigar is the consummate class act. The dude was kind enough to not only sign, but sketch in a book that I bought from him, which I thought he never did. Also he was kind enough to sell me his book for only $10 which was AWESOME. I mentioned that I was about to be a father and he handed me some terrific advice. ”Folks kept telling me to put my comics away because the baby would take all my time away form that an basically ruin everything. That didn’t happen. Having a child totally enriches your life and makes everything better. That and I became a master time manager. I started drawing MORE comics and taking on MORE projects after I had kids.”
Thanks again master Guigar. You are one of the very things I aspire to be.
SKETCH TWO
They didn’t offer me the shirts off their backs, but after only 60 seconds of talking to these folks I think they might have. Pictured in the sketch are Darek and Nikki Davis of Bitter Tea Studios. They too are from North Carolina and they were the most encouraging and hospitable folk. They also frequent most of the mini-cons that I am interested in going to and so I will definitely be taking them up on thier offer to table with them.
That’s all I got time for today folks. See you Wednesday for more goodness and more news from the weekend.

Glad you had a good time. Derek and Nikki are stand-up folks.
Yeah man! They were total sweet-hearts.
Cool for you!
Thanks! You should go to one of these things. Whether or not you like comics as much as me, conventions are AWESOME.
Hey, It was nice meeting you at the Baltimore Con. I’ve been reading some of your stuff while I’m supposed to be working. I dig it.
Jeremy, You flatter me sir. Thanks so much for checking out my stuff. I haven’t gotten a chance to read your book yet. I’m waiting for when I can read it all in one sitting. I can’t wait though.
You totally made my day. I was excited to check my latest visitors and see your picture of us. Thanks a lot! Come share a table with us in November!
Glad I could return the favor.
