FAQ

1. What is this mess?
A journal webcomic.  Each strip and comic page is either based on an actual event that happened in my life, or it is a completely accurate and literal depiction.

2. A Journal Comic?!  Aww jeez, not another one.
Yes, another one.  This genre isn’t all that bad is it?

3. You call your journal comic “The Pit of Despair”.  Are you depressed all the time or something.
No actually, life is good. The humor is supposed to be self-deprecating. It’s supposed to be an ironic title.

4. Do you realize you used to spell “Pit” wrong?
Yes, I am aware. It was deliberate.

5. Is it because you live in Pitt County?
That WOULD make sense.

6. Shall I continue to prod you about the name?
Please don’t.

7. Do you have any formal art training?
Yes and no. I was in school for “Graphic Design”, but cartoons in general were extremely frowned upon… EXTREMELY. Therefore, the cartoons are all me.

8. Why is everything on your web-site black and white?
I’m colorblind. Keeping it black an white just simplifies things for me.

9. A colorblind graphic artist? How does that work?
There are work-arounds to the disability I can assure you. I have spoken to several colorblind graphic-art folks. They’re out there and their stories can be pretty funny.

10. Why did you disable comments in (insert section or page)?
Wait… what?! Comments are disabled somewhere? I can assure you it is some kind of glitch or accident. I promise that (barring extreme and unforseeable circumstances) at no time will I willfully disable comments. If they are disabled somewhere, I didn’t do it [on purpose].
